MEDITATION

 
 
 

We are now pleased to offer Meditation sessions which will be held on Fridays at 12:30 - 13:30 and we are also combining Pilates and Meditation on Tuesdays at 09:30 - 10:30.

When people hear the word "meditation" they automatically think of someone sitting there with their legs tangled up around their waste and humming for hours on end, however there's a lot more to meditation that most people don't know.

Meditation can be performed lying down, seated, leaning against a wall, seated in a chair or if you wish standing on your head.  It's totally up to you and what position makes you feel comfortable.

Meditation is NOT relaxation - it's a method of focus and calming of the mind to allow the 'noise' to come to a stand still and allow peacefulness to take over.  It's like taking yourself on an outer body experience - it's not meant to make you fall asleep.

Relaxation on the other hand is there there to relax your mind and body and if you fall alseep then it's done it's job.

During our meditation sessions you will be taught how to use different distraction techniques to bring you back into the moment and you'll also learn different styles of meditation, which gives you the opportunity to find what works best for you - after all we are all different and what works for one person does not work for everyone.

You can bring a small blanket if you want or anything that makes you feel comfortable.  There are cushions and mats at the studio for you to use.

 

Open Group Meditation

If your house is anything like mine there's an awful lot of distraction going on and I wanted to provide a place where people can come together and meditate in a group - without instruction.  This is also a FREE service so you don't need to be a member.  We are merely providing a beautiful peaceful venue for you to come and spent 30 minutes of doing something for YOU, without the dogs, cats, husband's, wives and children interrupting you!
